A Successful Year for Animals Thanks to You!

2011 has been a huge success for the animals of Maryland thanks to you! Together we passed an unprecedented number of animal protection bills in the Maryland General Assembly---including creation of the all-important Statewide Spay/Neuter Task Force that is working to create a subsidized statewide spay/neuter program for Maryland. Plus we defeated two bills that would have harmed animals.

ALDF rankingsMake no mistake, these successes are due to you! You joined together with MVFA---Maryland's first-and-only political action committee for animals---to let our legislators know that animals are important to us. In fact, your hard work and dedication raised Maryland's state ranking by the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) from 43 to 36 – and out of the bottom tier of states with the weakest animal cruelty laws. Now MVFA is gearing up for the 2012 session of the Maryland General Assembly that will begin in mid-January. There is important work to be done for animals and we need your help! If you've already sent your year-end contribution to MVFA then THANK YOU SO MUCH! If you haven't sent your gift yet, please consider that even a small donation will save lives in the year to come. Just click the donation button above.

Next, mark your calendars for Humane Lobby Day 2012 on February 23---it's the most important day of the year for animals. When, together, we are successful in passing just one good bill, then tens of thousands of animals in Maryland are protected. Nothing we can do for animals is more effective in saving lives and ending suffering. So please stay tuned for more information and join us on February 23.

Again, thank you for your support of MVFA in 2011. Let's aim for even bigger successes in 2012 because the animals cannot help themselves----we have to do it.
