Please ACT NOW to Protect "Bait" dogs.

The gruesome world of illegal dog-fighting operations includes the torture, abuse, and mutilation of non-fighting dogs to train fighting dogs. Bait dogs are of all shapes, sizes, and breeds, often rendered defenseless by using duct tape and restraints or tied to a pole or tree for days of repeated attacks until they die. It is the most horrific animal cruelty of its kind, and bait dogs suffer the cruelest fate. We read about its victims time and time again in Maryland and this cruelty must be stopped!

Send your letter of support for this bill now!

DOG-FIGHTING is directly linked to other violent crimes and criminal activity, including drugs, illegal weapons, and homicide. Dog-fighting operations must be stopped to protect our communities, children, and animals. The Bait Dog bill is an important tool for law-enforcement that addresses a serious loop-hole in Maryland's dog-fighting law. Maryland ranks 43rd among all other states in the strength of our dog-fighting laws - LET'S CHANGE that today and support the Bait Dog bill to strengthen Maryland's dog-fighting laws, protect our communities, and stop this horrific cruelty.
